As per the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order dated 16th May 2007, Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited.
Definition of Ragging :As per the NMC notification 18th November, 2021 under Chapter – II Clause 4,
“Ragging shall mean any disorderly conduct, whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.”
To deal and curb the matter the college has an ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE comprising of senior teachers of the institution and an ANTI RAGGING SQUAD, comprising of other than senior teachers of the institution, representatives of Civil & Police administration and local media.
Undertakings/Oath in the form of Affidavit will be taken from the students and parents before finalization of admission to CMC.
Any person who indulges in ragging shall be dealt with severely as per the instructions on the subject. ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE and identified personswillensurethatnoragginggoesoninthepremisesoftheInstitutes.If
anyincidentofraggingcomestothenoticeoftheauthority,theconcernedstudent shallbegivenlibertytoexplainandifhis/herexplanationisnotfoundsatisfactory the authority would take up necessary actions. Administrative action in the event of ragging shall be as per NMC and Hon’ble Supreme Courtrules.
